Only some rooms are accessible by wheelchair. As the castle is a heritage building, access to the upper floor event spaces are restricted. These include the Agincourt Room, Balaclava Room, and The Cellars. However, function rooms found on ground level such as the Banquet Room, Curzon Room, Lady Mary’s Pavilion, Sabrina’s View, and Sir Phillip Lounge are wheelchair accessible.
About This Venue
The iconic sandstone castle was built in 1899 by Harry Curzon Smith as a present to his wife, Isabella. The castle sits on three acres of of landscaped gardens that are purpose built for outdoor wedding ceremonies.
Previously known as St Joseph Vincentian Seminary, Curzon Hall is classed by the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage as a ‘free style mansion’.
It’s not everyday you can get married at a castle in Australia, let alone Sydney but at this beautiful venue, you can and have equally stunning wedding photography done on the grounds (or favourite is utilising the grand staircase inside the main foyer at night).
