Marquee reception venues are rare in large metropolitan cities such as Sydney.
We were incredibly privileged to have a team of 4 be flown across Australian to Perth for Shir Leen and Jonathan’s modern Australian-Malaysian wedding.
Held at Lamont’s Bishops House – a wedding venue found in the heart of Perth CBD, the venue manager had made the smart decision of removing the marquee roof as it was a going to be a hot day.
You may not know this but marquee act as greenhouses during the day. On hot sunny days, the inside temperature of a marquee can easily reach 40-degrees Celsius.
With the roof of the marquee removed, this gave the wedding reception the sense that it was directly held underneath the starts.
